My blogging has taken a back seat, I feel like I've no time for anything. So much has happened in the last six months and here are the highlights I'd like to share. * Time of The Writer Festival in Durban was fantastic. * Working with fourteen year olds from Brampton International School, was also great. Especially because they absolutely loved Imagine This. * I was asked to write a short story for BBC African Perspective, to commemorate Nigeria's Democracy day. * I managed to finish a waistcoat and I've almost finished making a pair of trousers. Temi will be proud. This of course, is all in the name of research. :-) I shall update again in six months, maybe even sooner. Sx

The Continuing Saga

So went to Spain to write and ended up dong very little. Pray tell, what else has changed? Let's just say it was no big suprise to me, the suprise was that I got anything done at all.For too long I've let my fears crush me and hold me captive. I think I've reached the bottom and the only way out is to start writing. To write without fear or judgement of others. All I can really do is write the story inside and hope it resonates with readers (if I get lucky enough for it to get published).So my game plan is before I go to bed every night to review what I've written and decided what scenes I will write the next day. Yeah, it's a brand new year and hopefully it will be a great one. 2009 starts with a WBD post. Voting closes tomorrow or I should say today considering it's midnight. I'm not quite sure what will happen, I have so many expectations of what will happen if Imagine This is shortlisted and I rather suspect that they won't be met. Scrap that statement, I'm having no negativity start the year. I've campaigned hard, begged, bullied and cajoled for votes. Now all I can do is wait and see, what will be will be. I'll deal whatever the verdict.People say not to look back. However 2008 was a good year for me, so I can't help but look back and thank God above for my good fortune. So tired

Decided I couldn't come to Spain and stay cooped up in the house for the duration. So rose bright and early to catch the 7am bus. This of course meant getting up at 5:30, I know I know, but what can I say other than 'I'm not a morning person.' It normally takes me about 2hrs to get out of bed, I like to just lie there and dream of stuff.I can feel my eyelids closing as I struggle to make sense of my words and thoughts, but everything is just jumbled up. So I'm going to do the sensible thing and hit the sack early for a change. Tomorrow is yet another day.Latest pictures to follow tomorrow.
