Nine year old Lola Ogunwole has never been ‘home,’ to Nigeria. Wrenched from her life in London and now living in a Nigerian rural village, she is separated from her brother and abandoned by her father. Dogged by events she has no control over and isolated from an extended family she considers strangers, Lola must find the strength to adapt to her new life and also find a way to reunite her nuclear ‘family.’
