Waterstones, I love em… Not

DJ,Today was supposed to be start day, but yet again things don't go to plan.  I think what I need to do is not switch on my laptop.  All I was going to do was quickly check my email and then start.  I even cleaned the flat in anticipation.  (I work better when my flat is clean.) However got distracted with stuff again.  Spent the last 3hrs composing emails, filling out forms and trying to sort a trading relationship out with Waterstones via Gardners.  It all started because I wanted to see if I could order Imagine This from my local Waterstones.  According to them, the book doesn't exist.  Yikes.  Spoke to someone at Nielsen and it turns out Waterstones don't have a record because I don't have a trading agreement with them. Failure

I've failed to live up to my own expectations and now I hate myself just a little bit more. I promised myself I'd start the new book but I keep putting it off and have for the last month or so. I really should start, but I think I'm afraid of failing, so I'm not starting. Which is stupid, everyone knows you have to DO, so once again I'm making myself a promise to immerse myself in the next book and put Imagine This on the shelf for several weeks. I think I need to prove to myself that I can weave words together in a coherent pattern to form a story. Every believes it, I just need a little bit of self-belief. DJ,Just got an email from Ruth at Borders, she can't afford to stock Imagine This because Gardners are only offering a discount of 20%. Gardners haven't spoken to me about terms, the last I heard from them was a letter in the post stating that they weren't going to be stocking the title but will set up a special order on their system. What did I do, I called them to find out what was going on and what terms they wanted from me and they didn't even have Imagine This on their system. So I've emailed Alan all the details and currently waiting with bated breath for him to get back to me. Ya rightyo, I'm becoming a cynic in my young age.

DJ,Every one I talk to keeps telling me to share this blog with the world.  Deep down I know I don't want to, however I know that I have to.  When I do, how honest will my musings be?  Will I dare to name and talk about those I talk to in my  daily struggles.How honest can I be...  Okay, I'll think about it some more, then make a decision.  In the meantime a quick update.  Got the books back from Ivan, I sent him one book but got two back.  Which means Scott sent him a copy.
