Today was one of those days, I made a list in my head and got distracted by other things.I'm a bit peeved because my highly anticipated arrival of my reprinted books isn't going to happen until Wednesday, which is very annoying. Nothing I can do but sit tight.I've just realized that I've a number of events coming up and I'm yet to update my website. So my list for tomorrow is1. Car quote, (I had an argument with a wall and lost)2. Update website with events and other stuff.3. At some point I need to go to the Apple store, but not sure if that will happen tomorrow.4. Receipts and admin (which I've been putting off for several months).5. Construct a couple of sentences of the new book. We'll see how much I get done.

You may ask that question and I actually have a response that makes sense in Sade's World. For those who don't know, this tiny part of the universe does exist. At this point in time, precisely 01:45 hrs, I'm not able to deal with the rejection that may exist, I want to keep my [...]

The lights have faded, the bulbs have ceased flashing and the cameras have stopped rolling. There are no more hands to shake and no more books to sign; the party has come to an end. The announcement of the best overall winners has been made and as the sun dips behind mountain peaks, my time in South Africa draws to a melancholy close.Imagine This didn’t take home the trophy; the well-deserved accolade for best first book went to Tamima for her book A Golden Age. The best book prize went to Lawrence Hill for his masterpiece The Book of Negroes. When I found out, I was overcome by a fleeting feeling of disappointment. An overwhelming feeling of relief swiftly followed this. Winning would have been great, especially as a self-published writer, the relief however, comes from no longer feeling the weight of expectation for what is to come. However, this [...]
