So I found out awhile ago that Imagine This got into the 2nd round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and have gone from being super excited to thinking I don’t stand a snowball’s chance. I finally let the cat out of the bag to a good friend who said I should be screaming it from the rooftops, because getting into the 2nd round is a big deal.
I do want to scream with joy but my pessimistic optimism holds sway over the urge to brag too loudly about this amazing accomplishment. I’ve no idea how many scripts were submitted or made it into the 2nd round. What I do know is that if it’s anything like the festival, it will be tons and the competition will be fierce. Congratulations to all the other screenwriters who also made it this far.
For now I shall buy myself a box of sweets and celebrate. Yay and Yay. :-)
