So yesterday and the day before I was in countdown mode, excited about the fact that More Cake, my short film will be showing at the Raindance Film Festival as part of the Masters programme. That was until I got 2 texts in a row from friends who can’t make it for genuine reasons like an unexpected scheduled operation and work commitments.  Nothing to say but I hope the op goes well and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed.  Which brings me to the nightmare I had last night.  The film was being shown in all it’s glory and I look across the auditorium and I’m the only person there. Ouch, so now I’m thinking, OMG what if no one turns up.

Well I do know 10 people who are definitely coming, had to snag those tickets pretty quickly.  I think I have this anxiety due the fact that during the time I was promoting Imagine This, I’d turn up at readings organised by libraries and reading groups to an audience of 1 or 2 people.  On two occasions it was to an audience of none.  As much as I hate standing up in front of a crowd, that was not a fun day.  Above are pictures from the  2 readings.
